My mate is currently after a wiring adapter for his 197 so he can fit an aftermarket headunit without cutting and shutting the cars wiring loom?
Has anyone no if anywere is selling them, i have checkd autoleads with no luck.
You will need an auto-electrician to rewire the stereo, the normal headunit and the mp3 HU have standard ISO plugs. The 6 cd doesn't have these behind the unit.... the connector are under the seat!
Someone on renaultsport had it done and cost about 80-90 quid to have the connections rewired and moved to the dash.
Anyway to heed a word of warning too any Cabasse 6 disc chnager owners looking at changing their headunit, it's a pig to change and I had to get the car rewired, the guys at Berkshire car sounds where I got it done showed me, basically all the traditional stereo connectors are in with a unit at the amp, the bit in the dash is just the control unit.
Took them 4 hours to do however they only charged my £90 which I thought was a bargain, tiu was also a very proffesional job.
