chaging brake pads

i'm ok with fixing stuff but i dotn want to go any where near my brakes in case if stuff them. but my pads are on the indicators and need changed,

i had though about trying it my self but got put off when i called a garage and they said they couldnt do it because they didnt have a qualified brake fitter!

ive gotten quotes the cheapest is £49 supplied and fit. is this Ok or am i getting raped?

pads are 17 quid from halfrauds...........not much in it changing them tbh, but i rekon about an hours labour, so 49 isnt too bad
