Change of exhaust, made idle crappy?

Changed middle section the yesterday and sealed it correctly today, but now the car is idling at like 500 rpm rather than it was around 900-1k?

either its me being picky or is there something wrong with the exhaust?its a mk1 1.4 by the way, energy lump.
