Changing AUX belt

My AUX belt will need changing in the not too distant future and I'm wandering if this is a job for a specialist or would any capable mechanic be able to do the job?

I called my local dealer and they quoted £388 for supplying the part and fitting! Needless to ask I thought I'd ask on here before booking it in..

Thanks

Any mechanic. Requires no timing or anything. Change a tensioners, pulley and belt. Parts are £110 ish and would take an hour - hour and a half. Certainly not £300

Which Clio model is it? The 172 cup is a doddle to change the aux belt on (10 mins compared with several hours for the models with AC).

Definitely get the cambelt done at the same time

Dex90- thanks for the reply.

Mavez- my thoughts exactly!!

JamesBryan- my cambelt was done at the same time as the Aux belt along with the water pump a couple of years ago so I'll get it change when it is next due with the cambelt at the same time.

Cup172Rich- it's a FF182.

Cheers all for the responses it's put my mind at rest somewhat after the initial shock of the Renault quote!
