Changing exhaust manifold! (heat wrap?)

So i picked up a williams manifold, downpipe and Ktec decat for my valver,
for looks more than anything else

before it goes on im going to:

give it a clean, sand some of the corrosion off,
Change all the gaskets
Heat wrap the manifold and downpipe.

Just wondered if anyone could shed some light on the advantages of wrapping a manifold? does it make any difference to performance? or just lower the engine bay temperature?

also, is there anything else i should do to the manifold before installing it??

and finally will a williams manifold make any sound difference to a valver manifold? on the same catback system ofcourse?

Well apparently it makes the manifold hotter as the heat is insulated in which helps the exhaust gases escape because hot gas travels faster. but tbh I doubt it makes any difference, certainly none you'd be able to measure. I've wrapped my exhaust manifold but I did it just to lower the temps in the engine bay.
As for what else you should do I'd put some anti seize paste on the nuts when you tighten em.
