Cheapest way to 200bhp?

  01 Renaultsport Clio 172
Ive just bought a low mileage standard ph1 172 ad am wanting and love it to bits. However after reading about a few different cars on here it seems that an impressive hot hot can become an absolute animal with the addition of about 30bhp.

I am not that clued up when it comes to the tuning of 172's so i thought i'd post on here to see what you guys thought. I used to have a mk1 ph2 clio 16v with a decat, full mongoose exhuast, k&n panel filter and a remap.

I dont want NOS and cannot afford a turbo conversion. I was wondering what sort of realistic performance figures i could achive with a full stainless system and decat + induction (obviously not 30bhp lol), what are the recommened products, and what else can be done.

Any help appreciated.

Decat, Exhaust, Filter, Chip, Remap, High octane fuel lol, erm... Smaller wheels for faster acceleration, Strip it for better power to weight ratio.....

200sx lol.

With exhaust, decat and filter you might me lucky for 173bhp. tbh

If your lucky the engine stock, will be 169bhp.

Once rolling I always thought they were quick cars?!?!?

Anyway Sam TB's or Cam's are they only way to really make a difference.

Get decent induction, decat and exhaust then a proper remap and you will be happy with the performance (+ 182 manifold if you can). Don't get caught up with achieiving figures...if it feels quick then it probably is lol

well if i wanted a 200sx to go fast in a straight line then i would have bought one, same goes for every other car that isnt a 172.

I bought the 172 because of it handling and because i loved my old valver so much and need a newer more reliable and respectable motor. There isnt another car out there IMO for the money that will out handle a 172/182 thats also in the same class. I wanted a car thats enjoyable to drive all the time and i cant think of anything for under 5k that does the above.

The question i asked was whats the best and cheapest way of obtaining around another 30bhp, superfast dan, i cant see how posting a picture of a can of worms is going to help anyone. how old are you?

Rant over

Right how much would i be looking to part with to get a 182 manifold and what will i expect to gain? Also what about cams, what difference are these likely to see power wise?

Cheers

Fcuk me, you're a bundle of laughs aren't you!!

If you would like a more detailed answer, then you will need lots of money, Some Cams, ITG maxogen, Inlet match, decat, exhaust, and an Omex ECU.
GaryG had this package from GDi, and acheived 203bhp iirc.

Cheapest way it N20 the cheapest way to a continuious poawer about 200hp is the cam kits GDI/Yoaasport/angelworkd do its about £1.5k then idealy you need a some sort of inductiona dn exhaysrt work the sellers will recomend best ring all 3 IMO for a good view.

182 manifold prices vary you cna get lucky and get a cheap one other time syou cannot get them for silly money.

Gains on its own are small but with a remap and exhaust/decat well thats how renault made the extra 10hp.

Cams gaisn depend what type you get timing and remmpaing plus your intake manifold and if its been modified.
