I have some silver vision bulbs in the garage. Will get them fitted when I change the front lights over to xenons.

Still waiting on the bits back from painter, but will be perfect once done so not rushing him! These have arrived though and can't wait to get fitted. Standard Cup ride height is horrible imo.

😁 Favourite shocks for ride height and road use. So well made. Were on offer with Ktec so just bit the bullet! I have also purchased a retrimmed steering wheel from another forum member with blue stitching and a blue tab at the top. Should look nice with the Recaros. I have some proper carbon dash inserts and looking out for other carbon interior bits too. Tempted to get the carbon gear stick for the PMS shifter too.

lovely stuff however that exhaust is saggier than a grannys tits. personally i would be looking at a nice stealth system for it or at least a solid rear mount to get it up to the rear bumper.

Exhaust will be getting sorted. It's not sagging and the cut out in the current temporary bumper does it no favours in the pictures! It already has an uprated exhaust mount. It sits fine with the correct bumper, that should be back from paint end of this week.

That said I will either be getting the tip sorted or more likely fitting a full stealth PMS system with sports cat.

Few more bits have turned up today! Retrimmed steering wheel and PMS shifter carbon shaft. Fitted quickly after work between running the kids to football. Have fitted a gear gaitor too as it did not have one. Need a better airbag, but pretty sure they all have the horrible Renault sticky finish! I have also fitted the carbon fibre dash strips I have to match the shifter. I am keeping all the standard stuff so it can all be returned to original if wanted at a later date!

Stuff should be back from paint end of week. Will get the B14'S fitted and then full clean, mop, polish and wax. Not done anything with the paint since buying so looking forward to a minor amount of correction and should look stunning.

A bit controversial, but I am having a standard non Cup spoiler painted mondial blue that I will be fitting too. I much prefer the stop light in the standard/Trophy spoilers. The Cup one will be safely tucked away with the other standard bits!

Bits are back from paint, minus spoiler. Well chuffed, finish and match is amazing as usual. Had a couple of hours this afternoon so removed the temporary bumper and lights. Cleaned all behind, then fitted newly painted bumper, silver visions, removed Cup sticker and new numberplate light. Have started cleaning down the sides to fit the colour coded bump strips. Will be cleaning down with tardis, iron x, clay bar followed by decent machine polish while everything is off. Will crack on with it this week along with fitting suspension. Will tax it and start driving it 😁

Almost a full day working on the Cup. Started with fitting the Bilstein B14'S. All pretty straight forward. I need to have a play with the ride height. Well chuffed with it though and already sitting better than the standard set up.

Then I set about the paint. Clean, clay bar, machine polish and wax. It had a load of small white paint spots, but clay bar removed these. All paint appears original and has come up stunning. I am so chuffed with it. Newly colour coded door strips fitted.

I now have the painted standard spoiler so removed the Cup one, cleaned all behind and fitted the standard one.

I have also fitted new numberplates. Front is a 3/4 plate. Rear bumper trim cleaned, treated and refitted. Side skirts riveted back on. Undertray fitted. Bit more cleaning inside. I will get some pictures of the car tomorrow, hopefully in sunlight as it looks amazing. Was dark once I had finished.

Did you coat the coilovers in acf-50? I like the shiny door strips (y)

I need to get some. I was also going to fit some coilover covers that I have seen. I got a bit carried away with cleaning and fitting everything back up that it was too late to take the finished photos. The colour coded door strips are so much nicer that the original matt finish ones.

I've seen someone else fit those coliover covers which worked really well and might be a good option for you.

That looks better than new, amazing work as usual. I've got some ebay covers on my B14's that have done a gret job for 3 years or so and show no signs of damage or wear at all.

Getting there. Some pictures from this evening. Show the colour coded door strips and new spoiler. Have fitted a set of TPI wheel bolts I had.

I am actually pretty happy with the ride height for road use. My drive is on a slope, so it looks a little high at the rear, but is pretty much perfect on flat ground.

I still need to treat the plastics with revive, hoover, clean boot and fit parcel shelf. Bit more cleaning of the interior and code out airbag light following fitment of the Evo Recaros. Then it will be time to give the engine bay a bit of a clean up. Some MS Design Inlets, fuel rail guard and engine mount. Change a few bolts, new header tank etc. Need to decide what colour for the inlets.

I am going to order some of the coilover covers linked by @Porl, just need to check they will fit ok before ordering. Going for Royal blue.

Pics.....

Came from the same dealer as mine if the plate is a VU53

Need to up your blur game Mark😉

I am not that worried about the plate on here, it is just to stop all the pictures showing up on google, which I find a bit annoying!

Don't think anyone is too bothered about cloning my old Clio plates. I reckon they might look a bit out of place on a stolen Golf R.

You'd be surprised, I had the plates on my old dCi cloned🤣🤣

And in answer to your question it must have come from the same area as your Clio 👍

Once the plastics are treated it'll look almost perfect! (I prefer the Cup spoiler)

What colour to do the inlets? may as well go Mondial Blue ;)

Its getting that way. I am really pleased with the overall condition and paint has come up lovely. I didn't go at the paint too heavy either so there is a bit more correction to come. I knew the spoiler would not be to everyone's taste and normally people fit the Cup spoiler, not the other way round!

I must admit I am tempted by blue inlets, but will probably go silver, anthracite or black. I will sort the exhaust system too. PMS with sports Cat is the front runner.

The car is beautiful, a gem.

But, why oh why have you replaced the cup soiled for the povo spec one? 🙈

I knew this would be a bit of a marmite modification, but is easily reversed. I just prefer the brake light in the standard spoiler. I am in two minds myself. I may look to get a Trophy spoiler.

If you haven't ordered the damper covers yet, the Motamec ones i have had on for the last 18 months have been excellent and my ASTs are as mint as the day i fitted them. :)
