Its a very good wax for the price . You can pay alot more for waxes that aren't any more durable or give any better looks imo . Other people will probably have different views as some people seem to think you have to spend a fortune on a wax for it to be any good .

Get yourself a pot , you won't be dissapointed .

My wax list currently is Collinite 476 P21S and Megs 26 May get Megs 16 and give XXX a go

I have both Collinite 476 and 845 insulator wax . I prefer the 845 to the 476 . Its probably the easiest wax to apply / remove and it lasts just as long as the 476 .

I use both XXX and #16 and have done for a few years now, #16 is certainly more durable, XXX provides better looks tho slightly less durable..

XXX is a great wax IMO, I don't use it that often these days as I have better ones now, but for the money you will be VERY pleased with it looks wise, but in the durability stakes its not great so if you use it in the winter you should layer it over a more durable wax like the Collinites or Megs 16.

It also smells lush.

its crap !!!

it looks no better than any other wax, and it lasts all of 5 minutes, i got suckered in by all the hype when it first came out, even convinced a friend to get some to split the postage with me, we both thought it was crap, ive since sold mine on

Collinite looks just as good, and will out last it by months

Mate sorry but thats just wrong. It brings a lot more depth to the paint on darker colour cars than Collinites, which really mutes the flake of the paint.

No its not THE best wax, but it costs like £11...and lol at splitting the delivery cost! I'm a student and even I don't watch the pennies that tight!

Certainly not "crap" unless your the kind of person that thinks any car apart from the Veyron is crap?!

^^^ I agree . There's no way you can call it crap . If you only wax your car every couple of months then don't expect great durability . If you want something that lasts a long time then go for Collinite , thats if you can call it a wax . I doubt it actually contains any carnauba tbh .

Each to their own though . I usually layer differnet waxes on top of one another . I very rarely layer the same wax .

To me seems identical to the origional formula Poorboys Nattys, looks wise on par with most decent carnuba's not that durable as others have said.

If I was to buy one at this time of year I would go for the Megs or Collinites as they are more durable, the XXX would be better for the summer when protection isn't as important.

Not used the Megs myself, Rich used to use it though so can't imagine it being bad lol...Collinites is perfect for a gloss look but on darker metallic cars mutes the flake a little, what colour is yours mate?

Either way though you will be happy. The Collinites is virtually bomb proof!

  Mito Sportiva 135
Brun, is your paint well prepped mate? Maybe you felt let down as its not well cleaned/ polished, as waxing on bad paint is a total waste of time?

As I said, maybe not the best wax around but definitely not crap by any means!

A full respray doesn't mean anything, my car has come out of the bodyshop and need a full session on the new paint to blend it in, remove overspray and bring a decent lustre to the surface.

Any wax is rubbish applied to a poor surface, even the Royales and Vintages... (not that I have used them myself...yet!)

my surface was perfect mate, it had recently had a good going over with the PC

it doesnt bead all that well, and it lasts hardly any time at all, not worth applying IMO its durability is so poor

  Mito Sportiva 135
Ah fair play.

Yeah the durability is pretty poor hence only recommending it for use in the Summer. In winter your right though, not worth bothering with really.

What does the XX retail at these days ? Good alternative to say the Megs consumer stuff, spend a bit extra and there are much nicer products.

  Mito Sportiva 135
I think its like £10-12 depending where you buy from.

Good point though, MUCH better than what you can pick up from Halfords, I gave all that stuff away as I simply will never ever use it again.

Its a good entry level wax though I think, just doesn't last long.
