Chevron Oil

Does anybody know much about chevron oils?? Its an American company.Every time Im at my local costco I am tempted to buy some. Its about £9 or something for 5-40 fully sythetic!.Ive compared the bottle with other products and it falls under the same specs.I mean all oil has to confirm to a certain specification right? so it should be fine. Chrysler use chevron like Renault use Elf. The only thing I would say is they change there oil a lot more often in the states... my wife is American and has a car over there... they do an oil and filter change every 3000 miles. This is a standard service interval from the manufacturer... even foreign cars as she has a Hyundai. But then again when an oil and filter change only costs you £12... including the oil and filter!!!! I can see why you can change it every 3000.Anyway back to the question I was asking... as most of us change our oil pretty often anyway, wouldnt this be a really cheap deal on fully synthetic???

ive seen that too, in costco, its really cheap but that doesnt automatically mean its crap

with it bein a fully synthetic i cant see it being THAT bad even if it aint as good as some other more expensive brands, and that price and being able to change very often it might be worth it

yeah my thought exactly... I mean even if its only as good as say a good quality semi syn then that would be fine by me.Im going to give it a try on my next oil & filter change...
