Ive superchipped my cup, and I posted some data from a rolling road session on here about 10 days ago; it only made 167bhp, but the tests were done in 91 degrees F, ie rather hot.
I had two replies from peeps on that post suggesting that losses due to heat could be as much as 14bhp on a 172 engine, in which case my cup could now be making 181bhp on a nice cool day. Which would be great, but Ive no way of telling until the cooler weather comes in the autumn.
More impressive, though, is the gain in torque that the superchip has brought. Cups are supposed to chuck out 147 (or is it 149?) lb ft of torque; even in 91F my cup was giving 154, so in cooler wheaher it could perhaps be 160-165ish - thats a serious increase. Again, Ill have to wait until I can prove it though.
