Clean'd and Coilover'd!

  Mk2 172
Gerry did mine with Curtis casting his eye over. He said hes working on some more suspension bits for them and that you would let us all know when they are done

Yeah hes changing ths spring rates on mine in a couple of weeks as i want the car quite a bit stiffer for my next ring trip in august. Im goin up to 400lb ish front and 350lb ish rear. Or maybe more as i am now using toyo 888's on track. He is also measuring up properly for the solid top mounts :) ill keep u informed and ill get some pics up when its done

Top mounts will be VERY interesting

Yeah he definately wants to do them and so do i. I think they will compliment my AST's perfectly and will make a big difference. They will be adjustable too :) quite looking forward to them :)

Well it was setup yesterday by pro tyre with -1.5 but to the eye it looks different from one side to the other LOL so going to take it back i think. They defo look like they have ALOT of camber compared to standard cars.

mine is running about neg 1.25. i believe they are about neg 1 deg standard or there abouts so i shouldnt worry about it aslong as it is really set at neg 1.5. if ur not sure then id get it checked. no need for more than that on the road at all.

Steve sent me a pic and it did lok alot on the passengr side. Defoo worth taking it back for a check, mabe the bolts werent tight enough and its moved.

Curtis recomended -1.5 for mine as i do use it on the road

Ah ok cool. Cheers for that. Gonna go back, they did say it might change as coilies had only been on 12 hours when it was setup so may settle a bit.

Reckon we could get longer bolts for those wierd washer things or just leave it?

Might be worth it yea. I think i would tbh. I take it that is where they are modified to fit cupped setup?

Correct! I dont need any special material bolts or anything do I LOL? Just find out the size and get some slightly longer ones.

Yeah 1.5 deg neg is fine for road. No need to run more. Youll get no benefit, just more tyre wear :)

Standard 182 cup alloys! You still got them or did you sell them on? If you still have them try them out and you shall see!

Suspension looks well. I wouldnt worry about the camber, -1.5 isnt much mate.
