Cleaned up my Brothers Kia....

Woke up today and the weather was almost perfect to car cleaning, Warm but not too sunny and had seen my brother yesterday and his car was a state so offered for him to drop it over and I'd clean it whilst he was at work.

Time was not on my side as he needs to leave straight after work so only grabbed a few iPhone pics.

So I pressure washed the car all over and then applied RDS to the entire bodywork whilst I set to work on the wheels.

Used Hot Wheels 50:50 with water and then applied Iton X and had a little bit of bleeding but nothing too bad as I doubt the brakes on a 1.4 Kia are too aggressive.

Whilst I was working on them there were a few tiny tar spots so out came the Tardis which made light work of the small spots

Rinse them off and rinsed off the RDS and set about the rest of the bodywork.

He'd clearly been driving over some very freshly laid roads as tar was everywhere so again set at it with Tardis and its the first time I've properly used it and was so impressed with it

Applied and let it dwell for a while before agitating with a microfibre.

Then onto Iron fallout removal so again out came the Iron X (I love this product)

Went around the whole car and every panel was caked so worked around and removed as much as possible, I need to order some Clay as didn't have at to use which was a shame but gave the car a quick rinse using a light shampoo concentration all over and dried off leaving a fairly well decontaminated car ready for polishing, sealing and waxing.

Sealed the wheels with Poorboys Wheel sealant and dressed the tyres with the Eco touch tyre dressing.

Applied Tripple, Tough Coat and Temptation, Plastics didn't really need doing so left them, Glass cleaned with AF Crystal.

Here's a few finished pics which I'm happy with for a quick afternoon job.

Sorry it was long winded but thought I'd do a write up.

Cheers fella and agreed on the tyre shine, It's not the greatest unless I'm applying too thinly but it just seems to evaporate off the tyres, Had a good even gloss when first applied.

Reluctant to use Megs Endurance as it'd probably flick off all up the side of the car.

Tardis is very good but it still took a lot of persuasion to come off, Not 100% removed but time was against me a little.

And that was a factor

Used RDS on his rather than using my AF Citrus Power, The Eco Touch was a sample with the Waxybox so thought I'd slap it on his, He is as you can tell not one for car cleaning so not likely to complain about the durability of the tyre shine

Not sure on the cheapest but its Autosmart Tardis so not a dedicated detailing product.... Usually only available in a 5 litre tin.

Maybe if you submerge the car. Spray on, agitate and rinse, job done. The idea is once thats been done you would seal/wax so tar wouldn't bond, meaning wouldnt be using it every other day - great product, but I prefer Auto Finesse Oblitarate

As said you should only need to do it 2/3 times a year and I can't say I've heard that anyway but never really looked into just seen it on here being used so bought some

Quick rinse at the local jet wash as I'm currently without a pressure washer

WWHW with my new Wheel Woolies

Iron X and Tardis used to clean the wheels

Washed and Tardis needed all over again

Iron X on every panel

Quick rinse and dry before deciding on AF Tough Prep and Tough cost as not used either in a while.

Glass cleaned firstly with GT G4 to remove some heavy watermarks then finished with AF Crystal.

Tyres dressed with Megs Endurance this time

Sun has disappeared and was starting to spit so that was all I could achieve and dull boring pics.
