Cleaning and Treating Leather

  Add me 2 ur PS3 - Lylak
Hello all,

Last night I noticed the leather worn on one of the bolsters, I guess it's where my hip rubs, so the grey / black look of the leather is fading.

What products do you suggest to clean the leather and then treat it to protect it in my 172?

I've been looking at this page, but wondered if there is anything at Halfords that I can pick up tonight / tomorrow.

Problem is Reno leather is pisch! So even on it, Gliptone is as good as a basic lether cleaner/conditioner.

I've been using it for a while...Great product, esp on the recaro's/Konigs/VW leather etc. Antique smell to it! lol

2 stage kit and alot more time consumuing also!

You could clean it with warm water and some mild soap, or something like Megs APC or AG Interior Cleaner and just get the conditioner.

Gliptone is what I use, great stuff and smells like "proper" leather.

Having said that the % of cow used in the "leather" in the Clios probably doesn't really matter all that much! In my dad's car with proper leather seats the effects are a lot better.

I'm gonna pick some up from Halfords at the weekend, they don't sell Gliptone (according to there website) so would some Autoglym stuff do the job?

Shame they haven't got a 3 for 2 on at the moment...

For the Clio it probably won't make a world of difference I imagine, just don't get the Carplan stuff or something which seems like shaving foam, had to ban my dad from using this stuff!

AG Leather conditioner is ok, greasy as hell if you use too much.
