Cleaning my car help!!

Car  Clio RT MK 1
I want to clean my car to make it look the best. I have already got the shampoo and i have some T-Cut Colour Fast Dark Green to cover up the scratches on my car as there are quite a few. But thats all i really do to it.

I've read on here alot of people recommend the autoglym Super Resin Polish and Extra Gloss Protection.

Basically, if i were to use these would it ruin what i've already done with the green t-cut stuff?? And what order would i use it in?

Also, when using the t-cut stuff, it doesn't really get the deeper scratches out, any tips on how to use it?

Im also going to get a clay bar. When would i use this?

Sorry about the long message!! lol

Thanks

The Super Resin Polish will strip of the coloured layer the T Cut Colour Fast has left behind.

Personally I would junk the T-Cut Colour and get a decent polish to correct the defects rather than try and cover them up.

The Clay Bar is used after washing before polishing.

Some of the scratches are quite deep though, how would i get em out/disquise them without the t-cut?

How deep are they, deep enough for you nail to catch? Through the clearcoat into the basecoat ?

If not they will be removed by using a better polishing than nasty old fashioned T Cut.

If so only a repaint/ touch up and wet flat will sort them.

Trying to disguise them will never work.

Most of em are only surface scratches, but some of them are quite deep.

So if i wash my car, then clay, then use the scratch x, can i then use the autoglym Super Resin Polish and Extra Gloss Protection

it will look good yes, Scratch X will be hard work but if you stick at it and work till its gone ( of the paint ) then you will get rid of some small surface etches.

As Rich says tho you wont get rid of deep'ies without sanding etc.

Another quick question. Using the products i said above, do i need any kind of wax on may car? If so, at what stage??

You could add a wax after the EGP if you wanted. Not needed for protection would be just for looks.

What kind of cloths/sponges should i use for all these products??? And what do i use to wash my car with? sponge etc? Is it ok to let my car dry naturally, or is it better to dry it? if so what with?

I apply most things hand wise with foam hand pads and remove with a microfiber cloths.

Washing - Lambswool Wash Mitt to help prevent marks.

Dry - Unless using filtered water, dry with a Microfiber Drying towel.
