cleaning seat belts on 182

  Titanium 182
After cleaning the car at the weekend i noticed just how dirty/grubby the siver seatbelts on my 182 are!, i used some foaming car interior cleaner on them and tried to wipe them but that did nothing but made them look worse!

just wondering if anyone else has came across this and how can they be cleaned!?

Need to step up to something stronger then IMO - Megs APC or better still the trade version of AG Interior Shampoo which you dilute yourself.

would have thought a vax or something similar would be best to use - need to sort of suck the crap out of them. They go quite cheap on ebay - Ive been looking for one myself

The thing is it's hard to clean seat belts as they keep moving as well. Mine are filthy!!! Glad somebody else is finding this difficult!!!

This is the method I used (courtsy of Christopher)

'doing one belt at a time...

i soaked the dirty area in clean warm water

then added the AG interior shampoo to a bucket of hot water and lathered it up

using a new toothbrush, i then scrubbed the belt using the soapy water (although I think a nailbrush would make things a bit easier/quicker)

then rinse with clean, cold water and leave to dry.'

Also to stop them moving, stretch them out fully then place a washing line peg at the top.

That reminds me mine could do with doing again.
