Clearing web history. IE9

Ive noticed on my work PC after clearing the web history using the normal options, delete browse history..etc that if I click the down arrow on the web bar at the top there is still a history section full. How do I clear this? There is a little x so I can close it one by one. Surely there is a quicker way?

hover over the ones you want to delete and press the X at the right hand side?

Lol No there's no drama like p**n. Just a bit ocd like this.

It'll take for ever to go through them 1 by 1!

Start at the top of the list. Don't move the mouse. Keep clicking the X.

Its gives you about 10 at a time. Then you have to close and reopen

I might just live with it..lol

Untick the "preserve favourites website data" option at the top. Then try again.
