Looks like my Clio 182 at 5250 is now the joint cheapest, non cat D write off with cup packs (and mine is lower miles then the other one) on pistonheads.

Need some better pics, but essentially arctic blue and totally standard bar the gearknob being different!

I know the market is bad but I'm not going to go as low as 4750 bearing in mind the condition and the miles on it etc...there are more expensive 172's then that on the market!

It's immaculate inside, and apart from a couple of little scratches on the front bumper the outside is too.

I will wash/polish the car and put pics of it in it's current state tomorrow assuming the weather, and update the advert with more details.

Want a convertible and figure if I have the cash now is a good time to get a bargain. Got my eye on a vx220, an s2000 or a kit car. Prob be the vx as s2000 insurance is killer even with 5 years ncb, and I don't have a garage to keep the kit car in.

Going to update the ad with following info...hope that's better

The car has full renault service history. I note the service intervals are 12,000 miles/2 years, but it has been serviced every year up until to this year. It's only done 8000 miles since it's last service late last year.

I got a new mot about 2 months ago - it flew through with no problems at all, and it has tax until end of Jan '09.

Car has both cup packs - the spoiler/splitter and the suspension. It has silver non-cup pack wheels rather then the anthracite ones as I had another set of wheels on it for a while.

The wheels are immaculate on 3 corners, and there is a small kerb mark on one wheel. The tyres are PE2's as they should be from Renault, all 4 have got life left in them - prob 2mm above the wear limiter on the fronts, and 3mm on the backs.

The car is totally standard with no mods at all. Has the optional 6 cd changer, and all the usual toys - climate control/xenons/cruise control/traction control/auto lights/auto wipers/heated mirrors/leather and alcantara interior.

Also has the original Renualt tyre foam, jack, and boot luggage net. I have all the original handbooks and 2 remote central locking keys as well.

agreed on the 4750£ but as the shite saying goes, its only worth what someone will pay. This wont make it easier, but remember come march it could 'technically' be viewed as a 5 year old vehicle due to new plates being out.

guff i know, but thats why i havent sold my 53 reg 172, apart from not having to, its just gash how little they are worth, but there we go. that is the wonders of this 'great' country we live in
