Clicking Radio/CD Player

Everytime I turn the car on there's a clicking noise that comes from the Radio CD Player - I just give it a whack on the side and it stops. Sometimes happens when putting a CD in, or ejecting one. Any ideas?

The actual unit - think it must be on its way out.

Yer my nans Smart car cd player does that, i just thought it was the cd player reading the disc cause my Xbox used to do it aswell haha, but now her cd player doesnt work so the lens could be on its way out, this reminds me to sell my standard old headunit.

I've got a standard Updated tuner list headunit out of a Mk3 sitting about doing nothing if that fits?
