i had a concept 300 cat1 fitted wikid alarm to my mk1 clio but theres a little wire which hangs down under the dash (passenger footwell) wot is this?it looks similar to a usb connection but not sure any ideas>?

sounds to me like uve been done mate!!! they should have made sure that wire was secured before givin it u back.

Like a USB? Dunno anything on the alarm which does look like a USB connector.. maybe they left their Laptop cable in or something? Which they connect and set it up?

Sounds like the cable that you can hook into a laptop to play with the settings. Bit poor that its hanging down but prob just an accident. You can buy a link kit and software for a laptop so you can choose your siren tone and plip tone etc etc

sounds like the cliffnet wizard, you should get if free with your alarm, did they give you a cd with software on ??? if they did you can alter the noise of the alarm, and set the sensitivity...

Heh, Ive never took all mine out to see if I had the wire or anything - definetly not got the software etc..

I didnt get it either was told it was about £40! Would prob get it if I had a laptop but think its a bit far to run the cable from the car all the way into the house to my desktop!!

no i didnt get a cd or nuttin just the manual and the piece of paper thing i mite take it back on monday to find out wot it is.also the alarm goes off when it shouldnt the guttering on my house leaks rite next to car and it makes it go off when it rains loads!

Might just be a cable to connect to an optional extra, like full closure etc.
