climate re gas!!

hi everyone is there anyway of checking if you need your climate system regassing or not? is re gassing just topping up the gass that escapes or replacing the whole lot that is in there? is there a safe way of doing this cheers

The test is to check the temp of the centre vent with all others closed. we get a probe with the aircon kit to do this. A re-gass is where the system is drained of oil and all waste gas and filled with new. It's also vacuum tested to make sure there are no leaks.
