Clio 1.2 16v Air Filter

Does anybody know how to open the oem air filter box on this clio? Ive got a new filter element to service it and I dont know how to open the box. Any help would be appreciated, thanx! Dan.

im sure the box isnt the filter mate, that just does something to the air intake, the filter is at the far end of the airbox where it connects behind engine.

Jon maybe you can answer this question........is the 04 onward 1.2 16v any different from the pre 04 1.2 16v?

Its not the same no, the box on mine is on the right of the engine. Thanx anyway, i have no idea, doesnt help that theres no Haynes manual for this version either yet!

there are 2 x 10mm bolts at the top, remove these, and lift the clip up and pull towards you, job done

yes the above engine is the newer one

yeah thats the 1.2 16V engine my mum has, mine is the older style one with the grey plastic on top with renault 16V 1.2 on it. if this is the one there are 2 bolts on the top of the filter housing, take them out and pull the clip off
