Clio 1.2 16v Brake disc confirmation please.

Goin to order my standard brake discs and pads soon.

Not having any luck in my older thread.

Can someone confirm the discs for my car would be 259x21?

The other discs are 238x20, So i want to make sure i get the right ones

Yes 259 is correct for 16v cars.

sorry to hijack, but i've got a Mk2 ph1 1.2 16v and want to upgrade discs and pads soon. What should i go for that aint gonna blow a hole in my pocket. just for general hard driving no track stuff.

im no expert but from what ive heard brembo are your best bet?

£183.81 from demontweeks is this about the price. how much are standard discs and pads and how much better are brembo? (I know there on ferrari's etc but that all i know!)
what about ebc greenstuff?

Standards do me just fine, I dont really speed. I drive fairly fast but not silly speeds and i always stop in time.

The only reason i would get groved discs is because they look great. But ive hear they whistle and sometimes crack.

Are there any Mintex pads that would fit a 1.2 16v?

The feredos are like 50 quid ? Anywhere else cheaper?

I wouldnt mind some better than standar pads under 25 quid.

i paid 17 quid for a set of standard ferodo pads from halfrauds last year, got the box still here

Ah right, I think ill order the discs online then maybe got Halfords for some feredos.

they have a flipchart there IIRC, tells you the part number that you need

How did you find the performance? Are they quite thin on material compared to standards?

they seemed fine, just standard pads!

im sure i still have the reciept somewhere, paid 60 quid for a pair of disks and 17ish for a set of pads, then a member fitted them for me (year and a half ago)...ive since done it myself etc, had different brakes on this time round though

Sweet, A pair of discs are around 34 quid from brakepartsinternational, so ill order them up soon and get the pads. Might install them myself. Havent done brake before so i might just get a garage to do it.
