clio 1.2 clutch fitting wat have people paid??!

as tittle really , or wat sort of price would u expect to pay for the fitting of a clutch to a 53 plate 1.2 16v! my friend keeps getting quoted in the region of 350-400 ( female by the way)!

I paid no where near that price, i do know the guy who done it for me, so it was like a favour, but still thats a crazy price for a clutch change!

tbh I was quoted similar prices for mine from various places. I think its because most garages give the estimate on the clutch replacement book time, whether it takes that long or not?
The actual Renault Dealer local to me wanted £700 lol!
I ended up buying a clutch from europarts and fitting it myself!

I paid £350 for Mcconechys to do it, could have got it for £300 but needed the car back asap.
