Clio 1.2 Extreme with the full 182 Bodykit?

  Clio 1.2 16v
Hey guys, I was thinking about getting a 1.2 clio (As Im 17 and insurance is OUCH) but I like the look of the front and rear and sideskirts of the 182. Do you reckon the body panels would fit a 1.2 clio? (Think they would) also how much you reckon the body panels + twin exhaust would cost?

Just wondering :)

All Mk2 Clios are essentially the same size.

Have you spoken to your insurance about how much they will bend you over and take from you for the modifications ?!

There are a few reps on here... I would have thought you'd be looking at quite a few hundred £££'s

To make it a 182 replica, dont you need front + rear bumpers, front wings, side skirts and spoiler.
And then obviously sprayed the colour of your car.

Not worth the money tbh... Save it and buy a sport when you can afford insurance, thats what I wish I did.

as above, it's a waste of money.

at the end of it all, you'll still just have a 1.2 clio.

stash the cash for a future RS purchase

check out my project thread but to give you an idea you'll need

front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts, front wings (all painted), grille, wheel spacers etc

The rear bumper is easy, if you get a 172 one you won't have to worry about changing the exhaust or exhaust cut outs.

Front bumper slightly trickier, as its wider, so will need the wing panels off a sport too.

Sport side skirts again are hard to fit, they're held on by clips, and I think you have to drill holes into your car?

I have a 182 replica mate, Rear bumper is a piece of piss, but the front can be a pain! :/. I did mine in the snow, so that didn't help! :(. Lol.

I dont understand these replicas - why dont you just save & buy the real thing? Instead of spending hundereds on bumpers etc. Dont you feel a bit stupid having the car look exactly like a 182 but with a 1.2 engine underneath? I would. Just one of the those things i can get my head round..

^^ me either tbh i think non sports suit lowering and a decent set of wheels it doesnt take much to make a clean looking mk2 phase 2.
check out bifcaids to give you the idea.

Someone on here (in fact a few) had a 1*2 bumper on std wings. It's apparently a pain but possible. Then get some rep skirts off eBay or somewhere. At most I'd do colour coding, rs grille, 1*2 rear bumper, alloys and lower.
That's as far as I would go.

Dont forget the added cost of all the "sport" interior if you doing it all properly. Cost WILL add up.

not a waste of money at all if..... you plan to keep the car for a few years, and dont or cant pay the higher insurance that would come with a real sport.....

Why not spend your money on blackjack and hookers, it would be a far better story for later in life than

"I didz chav up a clio awwwwww yeaaaaaaah"
