Clio 1.4 MK3 MAF Sensor - How do I safely remove it?!

  '06 MK3 Clio 1.4L
Hi all,

Looking to give my MAF a clean.

The picture i have attached is not my airbox (as mines on the car atm) but its the same.

How the hell do I remove the airflow sensor to give it a clean?

I have disconnected the tube going to it and tried to pull the sensor and also give it a twist but it doesnt want to seem to budge, I dont want to put too much force as I dont want to damage it and end up forking out for a new one.

All help appreciated!

That isn't the MAF,in fact these engines don't even have one. That's just a breather.

What's your fault?

My bad! Not used to these modern tech engines :p

Well the car seems to feel flat under acceleration, not as responsive as before, and there's a slight misfire on idle.

I have changed all sparks and ignition coils and removed and thoroughly cleaned the throttle body but the issue still remains.

If you have any ideas for me to try please let me know!
