Clio 1.8 16v 1995

Hey guys and gals, ive got a clio 1.8 16v 1995, when i put my foot down at around 5 thousand revs onwards the battery light comes on and goes off again when I drop back below 5 thousand again. Is this maybe my alternator or my battery? any help welcome thank you.

This kind of happened to me in my valver, was a bit different tho, everytime I accelerated hard it came on, the door light inside flashed a few times aswell lol. Basically I unplugged the alternator , cleaned the connector and then put it back in and made sure everything was secure. Hey Presto.....never happened again. Hope that helps.

Bad wire on the alternator /falty alternator (quite common)/ Loose belt.
