Clio 16v...

Hi, i have decided to change my car in around two months and the 16v just seems the obvious upgrade from my RT. But i cant help think it would be better just to go for a newer more reliable car.? Any opinions welcome!

Also, how much would i be looking to pay for a vgc valver?

Thanks!!

i duno mate, ive never driven one! i was going to get one, but decided to go for something newer instead!

ok, does the 16V really have that Smile factor that would keep me happy for a couple of years?
oh yes mate !!!
ive had mine for 2.5 years & will miss it when i sell it.

as with any car get bills & proof of any work done etc, as valvers are getting on a bit now.

I moved from an rt to a valver. It really does put the rt to shame on the performance side. Rt is very very slugish compared with the valver. You would need to find a good one though. I still love the performance of mine and ive had it nearly 2 years. Do want a williams now though.

I recon if youre going to do it then NOW is the time cause there are some very nice cars out there but it seems like the bottom has dropped out of the second hand market cause nothing is moving.

Im looking for one myself.............just waiting for the rite priced car to come along.............to run along side the Vee.................not much of a grin factor for me then eh..................said as he ducks then runs VERY fast yeah :D

Deffo!!!

I get bored very easily but i love getting in my valver, iv recently thought of selling (just for a change of car really) but iv only had my Valver for 8mths and doubt another car will be as fun and comfortable to drive as the 16v feels, esspecially considering you can get really nice examples for between 2.5k and 3k!!!

One thing i will say is once your used to the performance of the car it can start to feel abit sluggish (but guess thats the same with most and youl always want summin faster) but the sound of the car is absolutely superb both going up the gears and coming down them!!!:D

Get one mate, youl not be dissapointed overall!!!

well mate, im on my second valver, i had a black pf1, then sold it to get my boyhood(realistic) dream car, a mk2 mr2 t bar in black, and as lovely as it was and as comfy as it was, it just didnt have the grin factor that the vsalver gave me, so i sold it and bought another 16v, and although mine has had its probs, every time i feel a bit lairy i plant the fun pedal and she never fails to deliver.

Basically mate, as said above, make sure u get loads of history and IMHO i dont think mileage is such a prob as around 70k the cam belt should already have been done which is the major mechanical thing really!

hope this helps ya, oh and u know u want a naples red one mate ;)
