I disagree. Neither of them will make book figures, so its look of the draw really as to wether one is quicker than the other.

Have a search mate, been asked loads. But i think the main difference is the manifold is it not?

ok kool off the subject what type of bulbs are the high beams on a 172 ?? are they h1

Went for a drive with two other 172's yesterday and I can say there was no difference. It's only top end that it will pull slighty.

was having a blast with my mate in ph-quick 172 and that was about the same. Slightly different gearing i think. gained/didn't at different stages in the rev range.

no i just wana no what bulbs for the high beams are i purchased a hid for my saxo ive now sold the sax and been lefted with this hid kit so i gna put them in the high beams on my 172 but ive sent the kit back as it was h4 hi/low kit so there sending me a h1 kit for the high beams is this the correct bulb

The 182 have a different ratio gearbox i think, like jonny said. Stronger aswell i believe compared to the chocolate ph2 172 box

i dont think that there is much diffrance between them both about 5-9 bhp plus the cups have less parts in them eg no air con t/c leather seats and so on

side by side your likely to notice a difference, 182 might edge forward top end but they drive slightly different, more mid range in a 182
