Clio 172 cup cam cover gasket part.

Where's best to buy the sealer and everything needed to change it so it doesn't smoke when running? It's leaking a fair amount so want it fixed.

Is there a how to anywhere and do you really need to lock the cams off as il be doing it myself and a few mechanics to help.

Any advice would be ideal.

If you're planning on removing the cam cover to reseal it, its a cambelt/pulley off job

Yeah I've read that but why does the belt and pulley have to come off? I can't imagine they hold the cover on surly?

The cover holds the cams down. And the pulley fits over the cover.

The cover holds the cams in, the cams are under tension from the belt, the pulleys need to come off to remove the cover etc etc.
