Clio 172 cup shocks, will they fit a non cup?

Hi.

I have a 2002 non cup 172. I have read the cup shocks are better and rider lower than a normal 172, is this right? Can I fit cup shocks and springs to my non cup car? I would ideally like to keep it standardish, so cup shocks with eibach springs would be ideal for me, if doable?
