EP3 Civic Type R
Well... few updates. (Sorry... there's a millionty trillionty pictures so I really do apologise in advance)
Parky, a friend from Blackpool detailed my car yesterday. Pics don't do his work justice. I'm SO impressed. Considering the day was completely overcast, the car doesn't suggest this!
Here are his pics and the stages he went through...
Pictures.
Before
How she arrived....
Bilberry working its magic...You can see how powerful this stuff is, look at the ground in the second pic.
After the initial wash.....looking better already, and no other products used yet!...
Window reflection......
After the carlack cleanse
And after all that.. the finished article...
Last but not least..
Interior before.....
Interior after....
To add to this hard work of his, today I cleaned up all the engine bay, added the engine cover I sprayed last week and have painted all the brakes so they aren't hidden behind the wheels anymore. All were cleaned up, sanded and then painted with 2 coats... with plenty of drying time inbetween
Before- YUM
After
Then I did the engine whilst the front brakes dryed
Before (best picture I have as I didn't take one today!) It was MUCH dirtier!!

Started off with a an interior clean of all the plastics with the Megs APC followed by removing the mats and a full hoover of the interior….
Next job was the wheels, over all not to bad, a few kerb marks from the previous owner, few tar blobs and general brake dust dirt. Wheels cleaned with the ever faithful Bilberry and a selection of brushes..
Once the wheels were cleaned, we moved on to the door and boot shuts, again cleaned with APC, with a umber of brushes.
Once this was sorted it was time for the fun to start!, out with the snow foam, gave the car a covering and left it to dwell for 5 mins….
(brew time)
Car was than rinsed, Mish wanted the best from the paintwork, so we opted to have the bodywork clayed, this was done with Sonus green clay and lubrication from Sonus and Megs Last touch- this proved to be a good idea as a lot of contamination was being removed.
Bodywork washed again with Megs Nxt gen car wash and dried using a Raceglace drying towel.
After the dry, windows were cleaned with Stoners Invisible glass inside and out. Followed by a coat of Carlack, a pre wax body cleanser.
This was removed to give the clear coat a good base to apply a good glaze, today it would be Clearkote Vanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze.
This again was left a short while to bond to the body then removed, to make way for the Collinite 476s wax. 2 coats to be precise.
This was left for a round 15-20mins each coat.
Wheels were dried and a coat of Poorboys wheel sealant added and the tyres dressed with Megs Endurance.
Wax removed, mats hoovered and replaced, final checks made and a new car scent air freshener added for good measure.
Not bad for 5 hours work!
