clio 172 cup

  was black/gold ff 182

has the 172 cup got a on board computer also is the much difference between the two cars , also because the it is a cup do it make your insurence more expensive then a normal 172

Yes it has a computer, there is a 89kg weight difference and better suspension on the cup at the cost of luxory items, do a search its all been done before mate

ok cheers mate what are the seats like in these i been told they are cloth are they still alright or bit cheap looking etc

Seats are ok, nothing to write home about. My Dynamique seats are much nicer and still look perfect after two years, but my Cup seats have a few threads coming loose already (16 months old) even though I keep it in perfect condition.

I will be replacing them with some Corbeau seats later this year, through neccessity as much as choice really!

  An orange one

drive a 172 then a cup, you wont believe the difference in general feel on a good road, i drove a 172 and was suprised at the speed etc (coming from a VTR) but upon driving a cup i sealed the deal there and then, ok so the leather seats are very nice and more comfy but i can do without air con etc (this is the UK after all)

oh..and yes in general a cup will be slightly more to insure due to the insurance cos picking up on the lack of abs etc

imo if I was buying again Id settle for a 172.

The Cup maybe slightly better in the handling stakes and a tiny weenie bit quicker but who cares! Also the Cup looks better but a black or Red 172 with Cup spoilers and Turinis woould look just as good.

Depends what you want the car for I suppose.

  Weeman sucks ****

although the seats are basic i think they dont look too bad, quite a neutral pattern, a far site better than the 182 cup patterned seats. theyre not the most supportive of seats but nor will the leather ones be that come in the standard models.

for the money you wont go wrong with a 172 cup especially second hand, absolute bargain. plus, itll be nicely run in to. mines just clocked 48k and its opened up AGAIN, has a bit more go:D

if you are buying cup for the right reasons - performance - then you wont give a damn about the seats, and will pull them out :)
