Clio 172 Headbolt tightening torques



  CLIO 172
hi, can someone tell me procedure for tightening headbolts down on a ph2 172 please? standard bolts etc. also i have had the dephaser pulley off the cam, do i need to put it back in a certain position on the camshaft or just bolt it back on and just the cam back upto timing marks?? thanks

Stage 1 30nm
Stage 2 30nm
Stage 3 180 degrees

Hmm not sure the above is corr ect? as far as im aware, theres is only ONE tightening stage to 20-30nM, before a final angle tightening.

^^ dug up this ol' thread :

My engine was rebuilt ; the mech said it would be wise to re-torque the headbolts after a couple thousand kilometers of driving/breaking her in.

Now i also read here + there that these F4R engine headbolts do'nt need re-torqueing .

Do or don't ?
