Clio 172 mk1 & mk2 shocks

Is there any difference in chassis between Clio mk 1 and mk 2 ? I have heard that mk 2 has harder springs & shocks, but i dont know if that is so because I havent drive mk2
Mk2 ahocks will fit in mk1, and I am wondering if my mk1 chassis could be improved with mk2 shocks?
I have already fitted Cobra 30mm lowering spring set, but I think that the shocks are bit too soft.

I wouldnt bother changing the shocks for Mk2 ones, go for Koni adjustables or similar

Koni adjustable would propably be the best choice.
My point is, that I could get a very cheap set of mk2 shocks (all 4 shocks for less than 100 euros)
In my opinion, if they are just a bit better than mk1 shocks they are worth trying...
