They will all of been ragged!Depends what you want it for and your budget! Would imagine it would be pretty hard to get a mint 172 with low miles on it that hasn't been ragged. 182 would probably be my choice...bit newer, but still as every bit capable.
Try a search...am sure you will find plenty of information that will answer your question.
PMSL at getting one that's not been ragged.
The worst thing you can try and do, imo. I bought one which had been used for a 2 mile trip to work, and the guy had a TVR, so it never got much stick. As soon as I started pushing it hard, the thing went wrong a million times.
Show me a high miler that's been pushed hard all it's life, please.
Im also looking to buy a 172/182 but am torn between the 2... :S
Anyone have any idea which is better on fuel?
They all are very similar on fuel. Will do 35mpg plus if you take it easy.. And 32 with some spirited driving... As said 182s are more as they are newer...
We easily get 40mph out of our 172 on a run, and thats got cams and an RS2
I see you live in Herefordshire?? I do too.. Ha. I've had 3x 182s a trophy and a 255 v6. Oh and a cup.. So if you need any advice just ask.. Where snouts are you??
I live by Hay-on-Wye if u know where that is? :dapprove: Where abouts u from?
Im in hereford everyweekend and was talking to a mate last weekend who told me not to bother with a 172 as theyre rubbish on fuel compared to a 182 but thought a 2nd opinion would help.
