Clio 172 Phase 2 bumper on a Phase 1 issues

Hi Chaps!

I have fitted my phase 2 bumper on the phase 1 172 but i seem too have a issue! The bolt holes up the top of the bumper that go into the boot s**t dont line up at all?? Can any one help?


Its just helde din with 2 x 10mm one either side

Rob (Robbos) bodged his in with a couple of bolts somewhere, but i cant remember where. Maybe we had to drill the bumper ?!

Still that's karma for you... Ph1's should be Ph1's .. not Ph1.5's

Well I've just been directed here... the answer is simple, put the bumper in place and line it up properly, from there, get a very small drill bit, no more than 2 or 3mm, and drill two pilot holes in the body of the car where the holes on the ph2 bumper sit.

There is actually a nice piece of metal on both sides to screw into, so that's easy enough.

From there, get yourself some nice new screws and washers from B & Q (I just got self tapping screws for metal iirc) then put those in place instead.

They actually look better due to being brand new screws etc.

Takes all of about 10 minutes once you've got the screws and washers, really easy job.
