little over priced to be honest, a mk2 clio cup race car is about £12 for a good 1, less for a bit of a dog.

It was racing in the Dunlop Sport Maxx this year. Good little car, and has some very nice mods.

I thought the whole point of the Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup was that they were converted production road cars. Whether the car was ever used on the road is unknown, but it didn't start it's life as a MK2 Cup Racer.

it IS a converted road car, it is a race car, but still converted from a road car.

the genuine racing clios were all left hand drive. and Sport Maxx is a production based series, as has been mentioned. £12k's worth, it ain't!

this is the reply to my questions to the seller...

the car was built from 65k donor car that had a mamaged rear end, The car was then re shelled into a shell that we have fitted a full multi point weld in roll cage including front triangulation. The cage is a CDS cage that was migged in. The engine has had ARP rod bolts and a baffled sump. It has a helex performance clutch plate and cover. The gear box is standard with a refresh by ourselves. The car had a new front sub frame and wishbones. It has new renault sport early type Bilstein suspension with our race set up and spring rates.
The car was driven by Patrick Fletcher and he tapped the front in the first race and then won the second, then in third with 65kg of ballast came second. It set fastest times or class in race 2 and 3 even with ballast in. The price includes a cobra seat and hans belts. It had a new extinguisher 3 months ago.

The claims of fastest class laps aren't exactly impressive either, since the fastest of the other cars in class is a Rover (*hides from Gaz.*) Any half-decent driver could have achieved that.
