Clio 172 Ring 2007

Car  Clio172.S2 RST. Evo4
The Astra GSI was having trouble keeping up....:rasp:

Is there much between a GSI redtop and a 172?

My mate at work has one @ 150BHP - it seems fast but he reckons mine is faster....

Don't think a GSi would have any trouble keeping up with a 172.

My cars not standard:rasp:

Koni Adjustable Suspension,Strut Braces Front/Rear,R rated tyres on 18`s, Remapped ECU (Grp N), De-cat,Magnex Exhaust,Pipercross Viper Induction Kit (hence no front foglights),uprated brakes all round, Oversized front disks to 300mm. mintex extreme pads front and back... RR at 198bhp at flywheel...

Redtops are 150bhp standard......newish shape astra gsi is 200bhp standard, would guess they carry more weight than a clio 172.....

198bhp from a De-cat, Magnex Exhaust and a Pipercross Viper Induction Kit.

I bet some people wish they hadn't spend over a 1k having engine tuning work done for less horses...

Strut braces do nothing on the clio - even the cup racer one is useless.
18's will just slow u down.
198bhp from a Viper, de-cat and magnex? Dont think so sonny

6/6/2007 BD Engineering Newington....198bhp.....thats what the print out shows....yes the 18`s will slow it down but it looks better...as for the strut braces i fitted the front one first and it def made a difference..but the rear seems to have made no difference...

Nuff Said.......:rasp: :rasp: :rasp:

LOL!! 198bhp!! Whats it run on avgas/mr fusion combo?!

oh and that line is shocking over adenau bridge.
(notice how the track grafiti is getting more intelligent, awesome)

nice power apart from that dip.

Id take some 15's to track it, 18's will just spoil the ride no end, in fact im surprised you havent used smaller wheels to track it. They are cheap enough and the improvements in handling, acceleration, safety and top end will make you wonder why you didnt use them before.

Looks are not important when your getting spanked by a vauxhall....

This thread is getting a little long but if you work your way back you will see i have 300mm front disks.....15`s 16`s don`t fit, i had to go big so i went as big as i could.... i understand i lose a bit on acceleration but i was on the understanding i would gain a little top end(the wheels work as the final gear)?????? as for the vauxhall go to specsavers he is close behind me going in but way behind going out...... :rasp:

Nearly as shocking as the crap that was over that side of the track due to several cars nearly coming off.....not about to risk my car to save 1sec....

I run 295mm Discs with 15's, can't see why you couldn't put 16's on, you can get 330mm discs under them with the corect calipers!!!

You line is miles out!!

Jon R is right, all the dots are put there during the BMW driver training weeks and can be used by everyone, there is turn-in, apex and exit on each bend!!!!
