Clio 172 top mounts

Came to swap my springs today on my 172.

took the top part of the top mount off in order for me to slide the spring and shock out under the arch.

On doing so, i noticed that the top mount was rather loose and could be wobbled from side to side.

On other cars i haven't seen this before.

Is this normal for a clio?

They do have some play. Think the revised design may have covered this but I've never seen the new setup.

Is the bearing okay?

Bearing is fine. The previous owner claims to have replaced the whole top mount last year. Just wondered if the amount of play was normal. When clamped together it never knocks or makes noise.
