Clio 172 won't start!

First turn of the key and the dash lights as normal, go to turn the key to start the engine and nothing, doesn't make an attempt to even turn over.

Only thing that happens is a whirring behind the dashboard, the speedo needle judders, and the warning light flashes. Car will not lock either using the key or the button inside.

Anyone have any ideas at all?

Thank you for the reply mate, went back over the fuses and one of the small 5A fuses had blown. Not in the middle but by the foot of the fuse so wasn't that obvious.

Breathing a sigh of relief that it's started up lol
