cit ren are a bunch of monkeys, I drove 150 miles to pick up a bonnet in Artic blue, when I got there, they told me they had sold it, even though allegedly at 4pm the day before, they had put it to one side for me...

They offered me a scratched bonnet off a 172 cup instead...dick heads!

Am in the same situation as mine is due to be changed in a couple of months, Kwik Fit in Dereham quoted me around £450 but the sales bloke then asked me did I know why it was so high :dapprove: and East Bilney Renault quoted me £698.25, split- £278.73 for parts and £419.52 for labour

i cant believe the prices.. ive got a type r and there is no cambelt just a chain :)

my sister has just got a quote of 500ish from the usual garage she uses but them taking it to renault on their trade account i think.

Avoid West's in Lynn mate, I've been there and they're shocking.

The guys at Cit-Ren have done alot of work for me in the past and all of it was top notch, a fault West's of Kings Lynn couldn't find after two weeks Gary found in 2 days. I think he's ex-Reanult, and if Fred Recommends him thats saying something.

Cheers mate I'd heard of Cit-ren before it's near pouringland iirc? I've bought spare bits and pieces from round there in the past.

I assume they're NEW belts etc? As I know they're basically a scrappies?

Yeah they're a bone yard for Renault Sports lol, but Gary who runs it used to work for Reanult. All the parts he uses are genuine mate and the work is top notch.

Cit-Ren done the cambelt, pulleys & water pump on my ph1 172 for £280 inc vat 6000mls ago. No complaints here.
