Have a look at the projects section for inspiration, plenty of road legal track cars in there
Depending on budget and how far you are thinking of going , like half cage and seats etc
First areas to look at would be suspension , tyres and brakes IMO .
No point booking a track day if on budget tyres , old/tired/leaking shocks and poor brakes
Plenty of useful info on here

It all depends on budget really.
first get the suspension sorted if it is tired new shocks (not expensive off Ads on here) new springs Cooksports work well on track it is what I run, decent brakes and new fluid, and some good tyres.
