Clio 182 LHD Lights

Hi there,

Does anyone know whether you can change the direction of the xenon lights so it will be accepted in the European Countries? I.e. LHD lights or whether I will have to get a whole new light fitting? I have a UK spec 182.



Any advice greatly appreciated.

Im gonna be in europe for a while.. pretty sure that gaffer tape will not work on Xenon lights.

best to ring a dealer and see if they can adjust the lamp or if it needs to be replaced with a LHD unit, you cant use beam deflectors on XENON lamps. if you are just going on holiday i would chance it tbh as the beam cast by a xenon is totally different to a regular halogen lamp if you are moving abroad to live then see if the dealer can adjust or go the route of new lamps if not.

Its not that easy, but if you take the dust cover off the back of the headlight you will see the bulb and lens.

Look around this area for a small metal lever, flick it up or down and its all set for continental use.

Done this on an espace yesterday and Im pretty sure all reno xexon lights are the same with regards to the lever.

Cheers, Will be moving to europe for a while and will be taking the car. Just wanted to check on this forum before potentially getting shafted at a Renault garage for LHD Xenon lamps(which will cost a small fortune!).

Im sure the clio 172 Xenon lamps were Changeable.

mike as far as i can remember from my rte course its only espace that does that due to them being fitted with dual xenon!! but will have a look now on dial-a-crap
