Renault don't do it as the pictures though.

He's actually proving he hasn't used the correct locking tool too! Haha!

FLOL, I've emailed him...

"Hi, you say the belts cost £1000? What did that actually involve as belts can be done a lot cheaper. Yours was done with the engine out, when I had that done before it cost £250.

When that was done the Renault Specialist also used all of the correct timing tools, your picture clearly shows they're not all being used, your timing is more than likely out and your down on power."

He seems to of used Spell Check.

"Hi, thanks for your condescending message...

the Car is not down on power...

If you can find a better car else where please go and buy it... The belts were changed professionally by a mechanic who has been in the trade over 35 years...

The mechanic is question has fitted, repaired and set up many engines including highly tuned engines...

And the belts were done with engine out as Renault specialists advise..

So please do not buy this car .. Thanks Craig

He didn't seem to bite unfortunately, any ideas for the reply.

Roughly translated as "Ah you know what you're on about and I can't pull the wool over your eyes". Please don't buy this car because you'll be knocking my door down half an hour later"

"Hi Craig,

I didn't mean to be condescending at all, I was just looking out for you and any potential buyer.

A lot of old school mechanics unfortunately do not know a lot about the Clio F4R engines, I can tell this as he hasn't used this very important tool for keeping the timing correct.

As above you'll see that that pulley locking tool wasn't used on your engine, you've even photographed it not being used.

The Renault Handbook also doesn't suggest removing the engine, I would like to know what Renault Specialist told you that so I can keep well away.

I was interested in the car, but I'm just a bit worried the timing is a tooth or two out now as its not a conventional 16v engine, and needs special care and tools when doing.

What's your best price? "

Was hard to try and keep it going for a bite!
