I've just changed my pads and discs with Mintex items. New ones didn't come with the spring clips, so you I had to use the old ones. Luckily I did one side at a time so that I could always see how they should look.

I'm guessing you've already taken them out on both sides and don't have a reference side to work from. I found this

which shows how you put the spring clips in place.

Hope this helps

1. Copper slip rear of pads.
2. Wind back piston ensuring indent lines up so pad nipple bit fits in this when piston side pad inserted.
3. Place both pads in calliper
4. Push both pads up against top of calliper and replace lower fixing bar (1" long 90 degree folded metal bar) - this should prevent pads being pulled out now. Ensure small hole is inner most.
5. Push pin clip into small hole to prevent fixing bar coming out
6. Replace spring clips with oval end clipping over top tabs of pads as in photo. Once clipped in place should hold there unheld
