Clio 182 Spare Wheel: HELP!

Want a spare for my 182, for long journeys....

Went to dealer, and theyll only sell me an original rim. Add a michelin tyre, and its about £250-£270.

Went to other tyre/car dealers and nobody will sell me a cheap steel rim with a cheap tyre on it, for emergencies: tyeyre all afraid of being sued.

I want to get hold of an emergency spare before Friday, so want to lie when I go into the dealers: what size rim should I go for, and what car should I say its for?!!

Scrapyard? you wont get a 16 inch though coz its an odd ball size

Just going to put it in the boot, when I want extra security going abroad, scotland etc... Not sure has the same versatility as a spare (split rubber?).

Just get hold of any steel wheel & tyre for a spare...

Ive got a crappy 15" steel if you want ? its almost the same diameter as a 182 wheel

Tried that millions of times... nobody wants to sell me one! They dont wanto to get involved... they think Im gonna put the space saver on, corner at 70, kill someone, and blame it on them!

Sound kewl... is it a renalut 4 stud wheel? Where bouts are you based?

Just go to a scrappy and get a Megane 15" wheel.

Pay the £50 for the full AA cover for 3 years.Then if needs be call them out and say you forgot your foam cans or something.

Bunging on a spare means you have to get the original repaired or changed anyway so you still have that expense.Let the AA recover you to a tyre place,get the original sorted and be on your way,you would have to go to a tyre place anyway !
