Did try and order some from Ben but wasnt replying 😧
Evening session last night at Snetterton making sure oil cooler didn't leak from the sandwich plate, which it didn't:up: weather was spot on yesterday so kept the direzzas on. Took out a chap who has a race-prepped E46 M3 for some passenger laps, who I think was quite impressed with the grip from a skinny-tyred hot hatch lol.
Downside is though power steering reservoir is getting very hot, going back into the reservoir making it look like a fountain inside and pissing out of the relief valve of the lid? It's had a "new" power steering pump fitted and new fluid quite recently and it did that before. So not sure what is causing that, taking it back to Cit-Ren today to see what they did.
Trailer is also playing silly buggers whereby the sidelights are working but hazards and brake lights work fine, so also taking that to Indespension in Norwich to get it sorted.
Both of these need to be fixed before Cadwell Park on 1st September.
Where the oil returns to the reservoir is a low pressure line. Get a small cheap oil cooler and bang it in the airflow somewhere. You'd only need a few fittings, rubber pipe and jubilee clips. Job jobbed!
Or go epas and forget about any fluid overheating problems.
If you need the tightening torque figures for the hubs, let me know mate and I'll fire a pic over in a pm.
The tweeks one looks the best option to me mate.@NorthloopCup would either of these be suitable?

If you could send over torque figures, that would be great
Was good to meet you Josh.
Sorry I didn't get much time to talk I was sorting out a few bits on my car and the time goes so quick at an evening session.
Your car certainly goes well. I did try to find you so I could jump in but couldn't find you! Be good to catch up at another track day.
Tom
Power steering on these do get hot with track work.
Hi Tom
Good to meet you too bud.
I didn't have much time either 😧
Was you on a cool down lap when came past on the Bentley Straight?
Hopefully another time can have a play!
Was on a very easy cool down lap, I had a slight knocking which transpired to be loose wheel bolts.
May look at going stud and nut in the near future.
Are you switching to manual steering or EPAS ?
Quick rack is good by the way
Well I ran 450lb fronts and 475lb rears. To me, the rear was too stiff and the front to soft, so I was going to go up to 500lb up front and 400/450lb on the rear.PMS Manual Quick Race and PMS PAS Delete Kit has now been fitted and garage dropped car off at home today for me for free as I came offshore yesterday.
I have placed a deposit with AST for there 5100 with Double Digressive Pistons and DLC on the fronts and Adjustable Top Mounts. Just a bit unsure on springs rates to go for as they have recommended 80-90nm on front and 100-110nm on rears. @NorthloopCup Im thinking to go for 100nm on front and 90nm rear? Or go for 90nm front and 100nm rear?
Whilst these are to be fitted, I am also tempted to have the PMS Stiffening Kit fit to the rear beam.
Have also placed the order with Gripper for them to overhaul/ correctly set-up my diff come the 26th September when JR-Dains remove the gearbox to replace the selector seal.
Coming along rather nicely this!
Some very tasteful things happening too
