Tom, when I got the 182 the sales guy I had was great. This time round I had different sales guy so I had to show him the car on the Renaultsport site!!

Not impressed with the Trophy, they re-name an already good car, and everyone wants it after a few mild visual changes. Or is it much quicker?
Neither, just lots of changes to the suspension, making an already insanely brilliant cornering car even better by the sounds of things. Any more power could potentially ruin the balance, if reports of the new Astra VXR (immense torque steer) are anything to go by too much power isnt always a good thing.

cheers, I like the new seats.. and can see the suspension is improved upon.. but the name Trophy...implies its a real racer.. but its still the same car, surely it could have been given some slightly different grills or bumpers or something to make it more interesting, wheels are often changed by owners in any case, so thats not that special.
I havent been up to date with the latest Renos, so this is just my 1st impression...hopefully it will grow on me.. maybe the power would have been too much to ask, but at least a new kit could have been made for it.

I am in two minds! You can get the 182 with the extra xenons and climate etc AND get the Recaros as options + Cup pack etc and it is round about the same price. Not to sure about that Red paint either, nice but we could have at least got a Mettalic?!?!
Still I want the trophy though. I went to see it at the Canary Wharf Motor expo. Brought back loads of 172 CUP memories. The only quibles I had with my CUP was that there was no ABS, the seat was too high (and cack) and the steering wheel felt too big. This Trophy has a lower and much better seat which feels perfect, ABS is in place along with ESP etc and the steering wheel now feels chunkier to me. The only down fall is having the air con. Its meant to be a racer, get rid of!!!
Anyone want to buy a Golf V6 4Motion??? I want my nutty car back, forget the motorway cruiser!!

Am I? Im not taking my car round yet. My 182 is showing serious signs of wear at the moment so I dont want to kill the Trophy straight off.
That idle problem you commented on has got a lot worse, and the right rear damper is leaking.
