hi there im buying a clio butit has high high milage around 120k miles on it does this really matter ? as long as it has been serviced etc.. should it be ok? the cambelt was changed at 72k so i guess that is gonna have to be done but i was thinking do people think it would be bettter just to buy another engine with less milage and put it in???

If your max budget is £3.5k then in my opinion you would be better looking at a slightly older 172. Im pretty sure you could get a 53plate 172 with cruise control and esp for around that price. Mileage would prob be 60k ish as well.

only really got 3.5 but i wanted something newer than a 52 it seems really good as 1 owner car fsh!!

than a 60k engine with no service history !!

My sis had a mint imported 2.0 megane sports coupe,and said she looked after it as she always put oil in when the oil light came on ...haha

Buy a 172, uncup packed 182 with high miles id stay away, Plus if you only have a budget of 3.5K have you takend running cost and that in to account.

Totally agree with you, although theres no reason not to be able to get a 172 with fsh for £3.5k

182 is now in the bag 114k on clock sounds all good new battery is needed but engine sounds all good may go for a lower milage engine in the summer tho blow the old one up i thinks
