Clio 197 - subframe - help

  Clio Sport 197
So in a attempt to gain some access to my manifold I have removed a part, that I now cannot replace. Two nuts sit in the subframe itself have moved and I cannot access so what I want to know is, the piece pictured... is it important and can I leave it off... looks to me like a skid plate of sorts and has no handling related or strength related uses

Super old thread I know, but for anyone wondering, I’ve been told this is an essential part for rigidity and reinforcement for the subframe.

Reason I stumbled upon this is because one of the brackets that houses one of the 4 bolts literally split- so it’s attached at three points. What’s the best way to get to this bracket? It’s sort of inside the subframe- do I need to remove the subframe or what’s the best way to access them?

I ordered this as a replacement:
